Trisha Bonilla
Trisha Bonilla has had more than 25 years in accounting experience, after graduating from Georgetown University in 1994 with a BA in Accounting. Soon thereafter, she pursued and obtained her Master’s in Taxation from Florida International University while concurrently sitting and passing the CPA exam in one shot in 1995. That same year Trisha started her accounting career at the public accounting firm, Arthur Andersen LLP, as one of the company’s International Tax Staff in Miami, Florida, where she focused primarily on international banking transactions in South America, as well as expatriate tax returns for major global operations of Fortune 500 companies. She transitioned to operational accounting, by joining IVAX Corporation, where she began first as a Senior International Tax Accountant and worked her way up to the holding company’s Accounting Manager. In 1998, Trisha got the opportunity to work for one of the nation’s largest utility companies, Florida Power & Light, where she was an Internal Auditor for 7 years and a Senior Credit Analyst for 2 years, providing multi-million dollar cost-savings analysis to the company. A move to Austin provided Trisha the opportunity to work with a start-up company as the Controller for Charity Dynamics, Inc. a small non-profit on-line marketing firm. It was ther where she honed her skills and penchant for helping small businesses and their owners.
Since leaving Charity Dynamics, Inc. in 2014, she has maintained a thriving accounting practice. Trisha prides herself on being able to accommodate her client’s needs. Her flexibility and nimbleness, by not being held down by corporate red tape, allow her to be the perfect CPA for small businesses. She prides herself on being available for families and small start-up companies, often acting as their virtual CFO.
During her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and her three children. She loves doing any type of physical exercise there is. She loves the mountains, and returns every summer to Park City with her boys to home in on her mountain biking skills.
